In the prelude to Santorini's global acclaim, Oia exuded tranquility, its population a mere 306 souls nestled by the caldera's edge. In 1971, amidst this picturesque backdrop, Lauda, Oia's inaugural dining haven, emerged, steeped in tradition and adorned with the village's sole communication link. Today, Lauda remains devoted to preserving the essence of its historic roots, inviting its valued guests to embark on a fine dining romantic voyage amidst breathtaking vistas and unparalleled flavors.

We kindly remind our esteemed guests that both indoor and outdoor dining areas are smoke-free and that children under 13 and pets cannot be accommodated at the Lauda experience. Opening 2026 April.

The Chefs

Emmanuel Renaut; the Chef and visionary behind Flocons de Sel, the renowned 3 Michelin Star restaurant, is a trailblazer in the culinary world. As a member of both the "Grands Chefs" Relais & Châteaux and the "Grandes Tables du Monde", he represents a new breed of chefs who ingeniously reinvent local ingredients. Juliane Caspar, the chief editor of the Guide Michelin, describes his style as "exceptionally nuanced" and praises his dishes for their "remarkable harmony and surprise.“

Orestis Sotiriou; the newly appointed Head Chef of Lauda Restaurant, brings a fresh wave of creativity and passion to Santorini’s fine dining scene. Drawing inspiration from the island’s natural beauty and rich culinary traditions, Chef Orestis masterfully blends contemporary techniques with authentic Greek flavors. His approach reflects a deep respect for local ingredients and a commitment to delivering dishes that are both refined and evocative, reaffirming Lauda’s legacy as one of Santorini’s most distinguished gastronomic destinations.
